The AR Performance(ARP) HLW, Heavy Use Light Weight is a reduced weight profile with a slightly different taper to stiffen the barrel. The gas block journal is also 1.900" long to accommodate a Front Sight Base. These barrels are chambered in 223 Wylde which shoots 223 and 5.56 ammo and is more accurate than the MIL requirement. Melonite treated barrels have shown to last 30% longer than chrome lined barrels and twice as long as stainless while being more corrosion resistant. Testing has shown that our barrels are 100+ FPS faster and more accurate than most comparable barrels on the market.
